Klay Thompson Trade Rumors: Warriors Star Unconcerned Despite Buzz

Golden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson isn't concerned about trade rumors involving his name as the league's trade deadline approaches on Thursday at 3 p.m. ET.

Thompson, who has one year remaining on his contract, has been the subject of trade speculation in recent weeks, with the New Orleans Pelicans and Philadelphia 76ers both reportedly interested in acquiring him.

However, Thompson said he's not worried about the rumors and is focused on helping the Warriors win another NBA championship.

"I'm not going to sit here and lie and say that I don't see the rumors," Thompson said after practice on Wednesday. "But I'm not going to let them affect me. I'm here to win a championship, and I'm going to do whatever it takes to help this team win."

Thompson is averaging 20.4 points per game this season, and he's shooting 41.5% from three-point range. He's a four-time All-Star and a three-time NBA champion.

The Warriors are currently the third seed in the Western Conference with a record of 37-13. They're one of the favorites to win the NBA championship this season.

If the Warriors do trade Thompson, it would likely be part of a deal to acquire a younger player who can help them contend for the championship in the future. The Pelicans have reportedly offered Brandon Ingram in exchange for Thompson, while the 76ers have reportedly offered Ben Simmons.
